UBL (Universal Business Language) is an open XML vocabulary standardised by OASIS for business documents: invoices, credit notes, orders. Peppol BIS and many national formats are UBL-based. When software says it "exports UBL", check which profile — a bare UBL file is not automatically a compliant e-invoice for your country.
