Methodology

How this overview works: which products we include, in what order they appear, where the data comes from and its current status.

1

Display order

This overview is deliberately not a ranking. Products are listed alphabetically, A to Z; there are no scores, no editorial favourites and no paid placements. Which product fits you best depends on your situation — use the software finder or the comparison table for that.

  • Inclusion criterion: we list invoicing products that are available to local businesses and support electronic invoicing via Peppol. The extent of that support (full or limited) is shown per product, with a source and verification date.
  • No accounting packages: software where invoicing only exists as part of an accounting solution, without a standalone invoicing plan, is out of scope. Putting the two side by side would be comparing apples and oranges.
  • Established products: we list software with demonstrable market presence (external review evidence or a comparable track record). The displayed rating comes exclusively from Trustpilot; for a product without a Trustpilot profile we link to its reviews elsewhere (e.g. Google) without copying the score — not a disqualification.
  • Missing a product that meets these criteria? Let us know, and we will add it once its data has been verified.
2

Reviews

Ratings are Trustpilot aggregates with a source link and retrieval date. A rating appears only once a product has at least 20 reviews: below that, one new review can swing the average by half a star, so we link to the profile instead. Products without a reliable review profile show no rating. We never write, edit or reweight reviews ourselves.

3

Prices and features

Feature values and prices are recorded per package with a source URL and a verification date. Where that verification is not yet complete, we say so clearly on the site.

4

Rules and deadlines

Mandate timelines, legal texts and penalties are verified against official sources (national finance ministries, official gazettes, the European Commission); every document lists its source URL and verification date.

5

Ownership and relationships

This site is part of a European network of invoicing-software comparison sites. The full ownership statement and any relationships with listed vendors will be published here before launch.
