The Sistema di Interscambio (SdI) is Italy's central government platform through which virtually every Italian invoice must pass since 2019, in the national FatturaPA XML format. Italy is the longest-running full e-invoicing mandate in the EU — a preview of the clearance model other countries are moving towards.
